Through an Instagram advertisement, I found out that the cheerleader of dreams Terri Savelle Foy would come to the Netherlands.
I clicked on the link and signed up. Then I send my niece Farida an app, and in our agenda we kept the date of 27th of May free with a big smiley!!
I follow Terri Savelle Foy for about 2 years via youtube and with God’s will, I have been able to meet her in real life.
This is no coincidence. This year I started this website and blog to accentuate my creative aspects.
Besides my full-time job and dynamic life outside work, this meeting comes as fresh water.
I can use a boost and some vision.
At the event with the theme ‘Dream Big’, Terri’s message was mainly about vision.
She presented 4 clearly described points that we could use at home.
In a nutshell it came down to this:
-Have a clear vision of what you want to see in your life
-Continue to develop yourself and invest in yourself through education and deal with positive people who improve you.
-Fight for your dreams and ideals. You will become strong through resistance.
-Be positive, speak positive words over your life.
Afterward we were given the opportunity to buy her 3 best selling books. And have it signed including Dream it, Pin it, Live it.
The most appropriate for my situation is to make a Vision board.
A Vision board is a board where you stick images of your dreams and ideals that you want to see in your life.
A vision board is not time-bound, you can make one at any time of the year.
It is, of course idyllic when you stick everything you desire to a plate and it just appears in your life. This board is meant to remind you of your dreams and ideals.
The Vision board has been made but .. how to proceed?
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it. Psalm 37:4-5
pray and be honest!
Dare to honestly illustrate your dreams. Be as clear as possible. For example, if you want to travel more in the coming year.
For your development or to discover other cultures, stick images of all the destinations you want to visit. Also all characteristics of the destinations.
To do list:
write down your goals
After you have started working with the images, write your vision on paper. Be as specific as possible.
If you want to travel more, describe how many trips you want to make. And where to. For example, I want to make 4 trips this year. 2 trips in Europe, 1 in Asia, and the other in Africa.
What do you need to make your vision come true? You need time and money for the trips.
Block your calendar on the days you want to go on vacation. You need money of course to pay for the vacation.
Calculate how much the holidays will cost you and work towards it if you do not have it in stock.
The next 4 weeks I will read the book Dream iT, Pin iT, Live iT, by Terri Savelle Foy.
Meanwhile, I think of Terri’s words. Where do you see yourself Next year around this time with the steps you have taken?
